BYOD is a model of technology that has some advantages for primary schools, such as:

  1. BYOD can foster student ownership and responsibility for their learning, as they can personalize their device and take care of it.
  2. BYOD can also encourage students to develop digital skills and citizenship, as they learn how to use their devices safely, ethically, and effectively.
  3. BYOD can support differentiated and individualised learning, as students can access a range of online resources, applications, and tools that match their learning goals, styles, and interests.
  4. BYOD can enhance collaboration and communication among students, teachers, and parents, as they can use their devices to share information, ideas, and feedback.
