Welcome to Holy Family ELC Before and After School Care. Holy Family ELC Care offers Before School Care, After School Care and Holiday Care to children at Holy Family Primary School and Holy Family Early Learning Centre (HF ELC).
Our Care Program is committed to providing a fun, safe, warm, positive and stimulating environment for all those involved with the service. We also aim to make the programs relaxed and informal for children as they operate ‘out of school hours’.
ELC Care is led by a team of qualified, experienced and energetic educators, along with our casual educators who are highly enthusiastic and enjoy working with children.
The ELC Care Program utilises the Early Learning Centre (ELC) and provides care programs, which are tailored for Preschool to Year 1 children using the ’My Time our Place’ Framework. We operate at a ratio of one educator to eleven children (1:11) as per the national standard.

The Before School Program
The Before School Program aims to provide:
- A nutritious and balanced breakfast for children who arrive early to the centre
- A relaxed, comfortable and informal environment which enables our children to prepare and get ready for preschool/school (i.e. become awake and alert) in their own time
- Opportunities for social interactions with friends and peers
- Opportunities for self-selection of activities and games across rooms
- Opportunities for physical activities before preschool/school

The After School Program
The After School Program provides children with:
- A nutritious and balanced afternoon snack
- A relaxed, comfortable and informal environment for the afternoon
- Social interactions with siblings, friends and staff
- Self-selected games and activities that enable children to engage in self-directed creative play
- A quiet environment for children to complete homework tasks or home readers, supported and assisted by staff
- Voluntary creative/craft activities based on children’s interest and input
- Activities related to what the children are learning in their classes
- Outdoor activities between 3.15pm - 5.15pm

The School Holiday Program
The School Holiday Program provides students with:
- High quality care and with as many opportunities as possible to participate in activities off-site – thus enabling a “respite” from school and the school environment
- Excursions and activities based on student interest
- Free choice and self-direction whilst on-site at the ELC and A block
